I chose the book ′The Spirit Catches You and You Fall Down′ Instructions: Purpose: The purpose of this assignment is to provide the student an opportunity to explore how global health issues affect different cultures as they are portrayed in popular literature. Guidelines: The student will choose to read either The Spirit Catches You and You Fall Down or Mountains Beyond Mountains. The student will write a 2-page reflection about the book. Included in the reflection will be: - a reference to a particular point in the book. - a desсrіption of personal thoughts/feelings about this particular reference. - an evaluative statement about the topic/point as it relates to the course outcomes, health care practice, and cultural sensitivity. Grading Criteria: Expression of Personal Thoughts/Feelings about specific topic/point in book (30%) Evaluative Statement about Topic/point as it relates to the course outcomes, health care practice, and cultural sensitivity (50%) Clarity in Thinking and Writing (10%): Presents thoughts and ideas in clear statements that are complete, well-reasoned, thorough and logical. Format (10%): Paper must be typed using APA format (6th Edition). The paper will be evaluated for spelling, grammar, and punctuation. Proofreading is essential. The paper should be no longer than 1-2 pages. Points will be deducted for papers that exceed 2 pages of text. Cover page and reference page do not count as text pages. *Referencing or citing readings inaccurately will result in a deduction of points.*
