Questions we Can Help you to Answer
Paper Instructions:
Readings: Rules for Writers, Chapter 3, Building Effective Paragraphs. This chapter is critical. You will be stating what type of supporting paragraphs you will be using in each section.
Instructions: For each major point/reason include a description of what type of support you will use (Do not write the paragraphs yet). See types of support in Chapter 3. Be as specific as you can at this point. (Reference all sources in the sections that they will be used. Do not use the actual quotes. Use MLA citations as they will appear in your paper.)
Example: Perhaps in Section One you think a detailed description of an actual event will establish your understanding of the situation with your readers. Describe that section—what scene will you be describing? Perhaps in Section Three you plan to write extended definitions of the three main terms you will be using throughout your paper. List the terms. Perhaps in Section Two you will present your first concrete example of the issue using source material. Briefly describe that example and name and cite the source you will be using here.
Example:
Introduction: (Context /Problem/Claim) Thesis
Section #1: (Establish common ground/credibility)
Support One: Extended Definition? (See Chpt 3) Historical analysis? Description or Narrative Scene to set the stage? (See Chpt 3)
