  •             Brown writes the article about failure illustrating why a person should not lose hope for a better achievement. She starts writing the article by commenting on a song demonstrating how an individual ought to ignore the sound of failure. According to the message derived from the song, Brown illustrates that failing in performing a particular issue should not discourage an individual (Brown). However, she states that failure ought to be a foundation of a better start in a certain career. Brown gives some more stories in the article that demonstrate how it is necessary to have a positive attitude in order to overcome all chances of failing. Failure is not enough reason for a person to lose focus in life but rather it ought to be a chance of reflecting the possible ways of attaining success.
  •             The first story that the author illustrates is about how failure can diminish a person’s carrier especially when there is lack of a positive attitude. Brown illustrates how an artist narrates a story by use of violin to the audience. The story demonstrates how a poet did not manage to hear out the sound of failure after his poem was by a certain publisher. According to Brown, the poet had a better chance of improving his skill if he had only accepted that the poem did not meet the recommended qualifications (Brown). The short story known as fiddler illustrates how a renowned violinist failed to retain his dream of artistic fame and decided to choose another career. According to Brown, the violinist abandoned his career with no valuable reason and he did not recognize that he would later join the group of failures (Brown). Brown illustrates that if only the poet did not accept his failure of being proud and abandoning his career, his dream of artistic fame would be a reality.
  •             On the second story written by Melvin, Brown demonstrates how a positive attitude toward failure can lead to a successful career. According to Brown, when Melvin published his first novel known as Typee, he received a positive response from many clients across America and Britain. However, when Melvin published another novel, there was a negative response from clients. The work of the second novel failed to fascinate his publishers together with his clients. According to Melvin, he did not accept the criticism to affect him but viewed it as a way of expressing his opinions in a diversified manner (Brown). He noted that some of his leaders could not readily accept the views that were not popular. After he deviated from this kind of work referred to as popular adventure, he received more criticism. Melvin illustrated that his work had a positive meaning and he knew that even if it would take a long period, the publishers and his clients would recognize his work. After many years, other authors like Harthone came to realize the positive meaning of Melvin’s work. Harthone published one of Melvin’s literatures after his death and the book received a positive response from many clients.
  •             Brown further demonstrates that having a positive attitude towards failure is the only way to overcome many barriers in live by illustrating a story of elder Vi Hilbert. The elder narrated a story of a girl had a difficult moment in accepting that she was a failure. According to the elder, he girl could cry a lot while in the woods because of shame that others recognize her as useless (Brown). However, while she was in the woods, the girl accepted a call of a voiced that requested her to gather plants for fashioning a basket. After the completion of making the basket, she came to recognize that she was the first person to make such an item. According to Hilbert, the invention of the Cedar Basket was from that girl who the villagers ones referred to be useless. The girl managed to become a champion after having a positive attitude towards failure.
  •             The last story in the article that demonstrates how failure ought not to be a priority is the story given by Young Park. According to brown, Park was to make a group of jars although she did not realize it would cost a lot of work. While she was accomplishing the task, she realized that the jars would not fit in the show gallery. It took Park about five years to develop the right method of making the required moon jars. According to Brown, during this period of five years, park had made many moon jars that did not meet the required criteria (Brown). She did not ever consider herself as a failure but tried her level best until she made it.
  •             The purpose of the article was to give a clear picture of how people ought to figure out their failures. According to the article, the author uses an optimistic tone. She seems to agree with her idea that failure should not be a hindrance to ones success (Brown). In all the examples that the author uses, she expects the best to come from every attempt that one makes in life. The author has a positive attitude when writing the work. Brown demonstrates this by the fact that all the stories she illustrates outline the need of ignoring the spirit of failure that affects a person’s life. According to the sentences that the author uses, they moderate and directly refer the intended purpose (Brown). While writing the article, the author uses a simple language that is clear for every one to understand.
