Questions and Topics We Can Help You Answering;

2. Today we will get ready for your next writing assignment. Please read the following assignment carefully.
Your local community playhouse is putting on Grease, and you are helping to produce the play. You, another producer, and the director have been busy interviewing people for the various roles in the play. While you have auditioned some very talented individuals, you have also auditioned individuals who are not good fits for the roles. You now must send letters to those who auditioned but will not be offered parts in the play. One individual like this is Midge Smith. Midge tried out for the role of Sandy but looks nothing like Sandy, cannot sing, and cannot act. Her voice is also extremely quiet, so you had difficulty hearing her in the audition. She is also the granddaughter of one of the playhouse’s oldest patrons, Vivian Smith, so you feel a little awkward not giving Midge a part in the play since her grandmother’s generous donations are helping to fund the play.
Write a letter to Midge Smith, 459 Spring Street, Garfield, GA 30425, letting her know that she did not get the role of Sandy. Make sure to write the letter using the tips from the notes and web link on delivering bad news. Your letter should have at least three paragraphs. Please make sure you do the following:
•&νβσπ;&νβσπ;&νβσπ;&νβσπ;&νβσπ;&νβσπ;&νβσπ;&νβσπ; Compose the letter in proper letter format. (You can make up a name for the playhouse and an address.)
