Questions and Topics We Can Help You To Answer:
Paper Instructions:
1.Perform research and identify a company that has been in business for more than 100 years, whether it is a U.S. or foreign company. Choose a company that has not yet been researched by any student who has already posted.
After analyzing information on this company, why has it been successful when so many other businesses have failed? Is this company exactly the same as it was when it initially started - does it offer exactly the same products (items or services)?
How does this company take part in global business or international trade of any type today?
2.Class, there are many companies that have existed 100 years, and yet there are also many, probably many more, that have failed. One example is Kodak, which is a company that incorporated in 1901, but has a history since 1880 with a business established by George Eastman (Eastman Kodak Company, n.d.). Kodak filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy in 2012. This really caught my attention and saddened me because I had grown up with Kodak products. Why did Kodak fail after such a long successful history? Is there anything the company could or should have done to prevent this type of failure? If you had been one of the major decision-makers at Kodak, is there anything you would have done or recommended to avoid this failure?
Eastman Kodak Company. (n.d.). In Encyclopedia Britannica. Retrieved from https://www.britannica.com/topic/Eastman-Kodak-Company
3.Class, in the last 15 years, we have witnessed massive changes to every dimension of the business environment.
