Response Paper—Application of Systems Thinking 
In a three- four-page paper, choose two or three ideas or skills Peter Senge (2007) identified in ‘The Leader’s New Work’ as being critical to leading learning organizations and discuss the application of these ideas to your organization.  

For example, you may choose to discuss the interdependency of various divisions or groups within

your organization and the ways decisions or activities in one area impact other areas.  You might 

discuss the “blame game” that is played at your organization and suggest ways to move beyond 

the blame for problem orientation and solution. You might discuss the shared vision that has been 

built for your organization; or, if one is currently lacking, the ways a shared vision could contribute

to greater commitment and productivity. Still another possibility could be to contrast how adaptive 

and generative learning occurs within your organization.  How do leaders in your organization

leverage creative tension or do they attempt to motivate through an atmosphere of fear?





So for my organization. I work in the medical field. I am a Medical Assistant (MA)  at a hospital called Unity hospital to where I work under MD's, NP's, PA's, RN's. LPN's. Also, I work in an assisted Living nursing home as a medication technician. So you can talk about both organizations I work for. I'll To try to explain everything in a short summary, both jobs of mine especially in the nursing home, many residents are passing away from other nursing homes due to the COVID-19, so we as a team in the nursing homes as management, Nurses and med techs trying to find the best ways and protocols and order from the governor to do our best to prevent COVID 19 the spread of the virus to the residents. That is by doing a screen search at the door for all employees that come in to clock in, having all sanitation stations all over the building, where masks at all times when we come close to a resident we have to where shields and gowns and gloves, also stop visitation from other family members to decrease the chance of having COVID-19. Also due an hourly temperature check for all residents to make sure their containing good health. So far these solutions are working great in my organization. We all as a team coming up with a plan to decrease the pandemic. And it works. We have not had any cases due to the protocols we did in my organization. Our plan is very effective. These are the same protocols that are followed in the hospital to where I work for internal medicine to where the guidelines are very strict as well. 


My instructor said it is more a response and reflection paper, so references are NOT needed. But still, have an APA format. 3-4 pages. The instructor does not want to go overboard. The instructor is more concerned with whether or not a student knows the material and can apply it to their work.
