Q 1. Please define and discuss uses and gratifications theory and explain its transformation after the rise of digital media with examples. (30 points)

Q2. Almost 60 years ago Marshall McLuhan predicted ‘the global village’. McLuhan’s theory is basically based upon the idea that the world will be transformed into an interconnected tribe thanks to electronic gadgets. Please watch the video of Marshall McLuhan, and explain how new media have shaped the world with detailed examples. (30 points)
