Linkage between benefits and employee performance

Questions and Topics We Can Help You To Answer:
Paper Instructions:

There may be strong relationships between compensation or pay-for-performance plans and actual employee motivation in terms of productivity.  However, those relationships may not be as obvious when it comes to benefits.  A huge expense line item for the firm is the total cost of employing workers.  A general assumption is that benefits comprise at least 30% of a total compensation package.

Instructions for Forum 6:

Find at least three peer-reviewed articles that relate to the general topic.
Develop a position on whether or not benefits can be linked to employee performance?  Or, benefit mainly valuable from a recruiting standpoint?
Draw a conclusion as to whether or not benefits should be a focus for organizations in developing total compensation packages.
