Week 2 Discussion
• Describe at least two initiatives for cultural proficiency that you would put into place at a medical clinic.
• Respond to at least one peer. What are the benefits of implementing these initiatives? How would they address cultural competence within an HCO?

RESPOND TO A PEER:
In my opinion, an initiative to counteract a cultural deficiency is to promote a healthy lifestyle to minorities. Healthy lifestyles can change the dynamics of a person's life. When you live a healthy and balanced life it can promote longevity. When a person implements weight management and an active lifestyle they will most likely decrease the percentage of diabetes, heart disease, kidney dysfunction, and gut irritabilities. The medical clinic could promote these practices by providing free classes and healthy incentives. The healthy incentives could be discounts at the local gym or farmer's market.
Another initiative would be to provide free mental health counseling for patients that do not have medical insurance of any type. As we all know, mental health is a taboo subject. Most patients are too embarrassed to admit that they need help or can't afford to be seen for it. If we decrease mental health the percentage of obesity, diabetes, gut irritability, and even suicide could be decreased. The same forum as a healthy lifestyle and stress management should be supported by free education classes and training. If the medical clinic offers other avenues to alleviate stress it will support the community.
The benefits of implementing these initiatives would be the prevention of the diseases that I discussed above. There are some diseases that are provoked by genetics but can be decreased or prevented just by health management of your weight. The price of health care would go down and other subsequent medical issues would be prevented. If mental health care is implemented at an early age the effects can be decreased or even prevented as well. These two initiatives would address cultural competence by enforcing a state legislative. It would provide social and business benefits to improve lives and save financially. I believe it's a win-win for everyone in the Health Care Organization (HCO).

Week 4 Discussion
• It is important for physicians, providers, and locations to have real-time connectivity. Therefore, health records should tie more professionals together and adapt new models of care. Conduct research on the comprehensive medical record (CMR), electronic medical record (EMR), and electronic health record (EHR) to foster connections between primary care physicians, multiple specialists, hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, laboratories, public health registries, and new models of care such as Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs). What are some of the most prevalent challenges and risks of implementing the CMR?
• Respond to at least one of your classmates. What are two benefits of implementing the CMR? How can you mitigate the risk or address the challenges described in your classmate’s post?
LOG - WEEK 4
Comment on your acceptance or knowledge of technology. How has technology impacted the world? How has technology impacted health care?

MKT100 - Principles of Marketing
Discussion Response Requirements
For the all of course discussions, there are no right or wrong answers. You are simply responding to questions in your own words. Do not copy and paste content from the web. This is a violation of Strayer's Academic Integrity policy.
1. Respond to the discussion with at least four good sentences for each bullet point. Make sure you address all points of each bullet.
2. Reply to at least one classmate with at least four full substantive sentences.
3. Go beyond, "I agree. Great post." Provide substantive commentary about your classmates' posts
o If you respond to multiple classmates, just one needs to meet these requirements, the rest can be shorter. The more posts you respond to, the more insights you are pulling from the class.
4. Remember to post early, for early grading then you can add to your posts, if needed.
o Take advantage of the pre-deadline grading for the discussions. If you make two posts before Sunday night your instructor will grade your discussion board. Go view your feedback and if you are not at full credit, go back and add what is needed for full credit and your instructor will update your grade. Your instructor will accept posts for grade improvements until the discussion boards officially close on Mondays at 9:00 AM Eastern Time.

WEEK 2
RESPOND TO A PEER:
Although there are many things involved with a customer’s decision with a purchase, it may not necessarily include wants, needs, income, or budget. It may have to do more with the persuasion that is presented that pushes them towards a particular purchase. As a marketer, it is essential to know how to convince customers that your product is worth purchasing, even if it goes against the specific criteria they may have already had. By knowing what a customer’s ultimate criteria is, you are able to use this information to persuade them towards a specific purchase.
If I were purchasing a new car, the most important decisions for me would be the style, but by this, I mean size, comfort, and space in the car. From previous experience, not every list item was exhausted before deciding on a final purchase. With the purchase of a new vehicle for myself, it would have to hit all the high points before deciding to buy. The marketer could use this to their advantage by persuading me to buy a more comfortable, more substantial vehicle that may be outside of my comfort zone for the price point. Knowing what is most important to the customer gives you the advantage to persuade them to purchase things that they may not normally consider or that they may not be able to afford, such as a different color, or even a different vehicle that was not necessarily considered before.

Know that when we talk about products offered by a business we are talking about actual goods, services, and ideas. Consider the following products:
• Coca-Cola Classic
• Apple iPhone
• Nike basketball shoes
• L’Oreal Shampoo
• Pick one of these products, identify two competitors, and discuss what it is they offer that competes with your product.
• For the product you selected, describe the unique selling proposition (USP). How is your product superior to the competitors you identified?
