  •             The Grille at CN towers is searching for an experienced F&B Professional for the position of General Manager. This position is responsible for providing the hotel guests with friendly and professional service, excellent food quality, price value and well-maintained environment. The manager will also be responsible for creation of a marketing plan to penetrate new marketing opportunities. Further responsibilities are meeting the hotel’s strategic goals and development objectives.

  •             According to the above job opportunity, I am qualified to hold the General Manager position. I am a holder of Bachelor (B.A) degree in management. In addition, I am a holder of Masters Degree in Hospitality Management. I attained my Bachelor Degree in the year 2002. One year later, I enrolled back to Yale University and managed to attain the Masters Degree within a period of two years. On the year 2006, I got my first job in the hotel industry at a place called Toronto, Ontario located on the northeastern part of Canada. While I was in Ontario, I worked for the Kimpton Company as an assistant manager. Two years later (on 2008), I joined Grand Luxurious hotel in Nova Scotia where I worked for three years as a part-time manager.
  •             During the five years that I have been in the hospitality industry, I have gained the required qualifications. The experience that I have gained in this profession includes proven leadership skills of an organization, public speaking skills, top-notch organization skills, sales and operational skills. In addition, I possess all the above outlined skills that the hotel has indicated on the advertisement letter. In respect to experience that I have, I am able to provide a prominent managerial system in the hotel. The strengths that I will manage to provide are excellent organizing and planning skills in all the departments of the hotel. In addition, I will be able to provide excellent controlling and leading skills.
  •             According to the requirements of the manager for the hotel, I ought to strengthen my ability in decision-making. For the last years I have worked in the hotel industry, senior managers in the companies made most of the decisions. Now that I am eligible to hold the managerial position, I ought to develop more decision-making skills. For the time being, I need to research about the past managerial experience that the hotel has attained in the past. After acquiring the information, I will focus on the weak side of the management of the hotel. I will also need to prepare all the required materials that I have identified in the advertisement.
  • The applicants ought to have a Masters degree from a recognized four-year college or university; or four years experience in the hotel industry; or combination of both experience and education.
