Mission, Inc.: The Practitioner’s Guide to Social Enterprise highlights ten paradoxes of the social enterprise. Said differently, Mission, Inc. includes ten points of debate. Continuing the debate theme, and with it the ability to secure a 360º view of any issue, students are asked to submit a supporting view paper after considering each paradox. The “this” versus “that” format is designed to reinforce our readings and discussions as we move through the course. The goals are twofold: (1) make the class very applied in nature and (2) move us toward addressing real-world issues one step at a time.
