The report is about an NHS organisation and I choose Moorfields Eye Hospital, it is a theoretical report and should include literature to support this report, below if put how the report should be structured. the report is also asking to provide a graduate role new for the organisation I choose Financial Technology (FinTech), I will attach my A4 plan so it can help
1. Introduction
1 Background to the Organisation:
Name the organisation and why it was selected for this investigation. Its stage in the Organisational Life Cycle. Status in the sector and recent sector developments /trends. Number of Employees.
Key competitors. Include the real world organisation’s website.
2 Background to the Issue
Identify an issue in your chosen organization that prompts the graduate role that you have identified as required.
Role of HRM in addressing this issue
3 Role to be Delivered
The new graduate role should be a new one for this organization, designed to address the need that you have identified for them. It must be linked to the area you have identified from your labour market analysis as one for you to develop yourself in. Identify the role and give a rationale for its inclusion on the staff team.
2. Models and Literature Overview
This chapter is about the literature and not the organisation
2.1 Job Description and Person Specification
Literature to support the approach you have taken and refer to the JD and PS practical outlines in your appendices (v and vi)
2.2 Selection Model Selected Justify why this model is useful from the journal literature. You will require specific selection models from those taught on the module. They should be appropriate to a graduate role which has development to managerial potential. Think about how you will assess the graduate candidate for developing leadership skills.
Refer to the Recruitment competences you have identified and suggest why they prompt this selection approach.
2.3 Management Model Selected Justify why this model is useful from the journal literature as a fit to develop your graduate. Note the difference between Leadership and Management from the module models taught.
2.4 Strategic HRM Model
Justify why you have chosen this aspect of SHRM from the journal literature.
3. Discussion / Analysis
Remember to include numbered subheadings here.
3.1 Discuss the models against the organisation’s need and how your research has been informed by your labour market analysis.
3.2 You can analyse how the models could be used and why they are relevant to the real world organisation you have chosen.
4. Conclusions
Summarise your key findings and how the literature and models fit with your chosen organisation.
The JNA (Job Needs Analysis) and JA (Job Analysis) with Competence examples have been given in week 3 to inform the JD, which appears in the appendix. The PS has been discussed and a short grid was offered as part of the plan guide. In Chapter 2 of your report the JD and PS information relates to the theory of what (What is…) and why (why do we want to include the JD / PS?) for the JD and PS and does not include the actual JD or PS developed for your role. Instead, in chapter 2’s Literature Review you are really justifying why a JD or PS should be used by referencing the journal articles’ arguments.
