Transportation takes a crucial part in the manipulation of logistics and thus operation of transportation determines how efficiently moving products will move. A strong transport system needs a clear frame of logistics. This is done to assist logistic managers and transportation planners to define the basic views of logistics.

This paper will include the interrelationship a transport and logistics, the role of transportation in quality service, effects of transport on logistic activities and the future prospects of logistics.
Interrelationship between transport and logistics
A well developed transport system brings logistics to its full play. In addition, a good transport system in logistical activities provides better logistic efficiency, operation costs are reduced and there is promotion of service quality. Transport systems should be improved by both public and private sectors.
Role of transportation in quality service
Transportation plays a very complex role. The goods could be present to the right place and at the right time when the means of communication is very well and effective. (Dowlatshahi, July 15) Transportation is the base of efficiency in the business logistics and also it expands other functions of logistics system. In addition, a good transport system performing in logistics activities brings benefits to both the service quality and company competitiveness.
Effects of transport on logistic activities
Transport may play an important role in minimizing the cost and maximizing service in accordance with the business logistic. In order to improve the logistic performance there should be better transport facilities and pressures.
Future prospects of logistic
Due to the worldwide competition, logistic systems should be improved and advanced by both the private institutions and government. (Murray et al, May 2007) Various developments should take place for example, growth of international transport, revolution of logistic operation and specialized logistic delivery.
Conclusion
From the above point of view, it is clearly observed that there exist an interrelationship between transport and logistic. In order to improve logistic, transport should be efficient.
