Module VI  - Essay Project Directions:

Write an abbreviated position paper discussing the rational, benefits and goals for providing developmentally appropriate early care and school-age programs for the four age groups that follow - Infants, Toddlers, Preschoolers and School-agers.

Your position paper should focus on the developmental areas: Cognitive, Physical, Language, and Social/Emotional and milestones for each area.  It should also include, references to developmental theories, and practices as outlined in our text as well as trends, issues and information contained in the additional resources provided in this course.


*The STRUCTURE of your position paper should include:

An Introduction – Identification of the issue and statement of the position

The Body – Background Information, supporting evidence of the facts, 
A discussion of the both sides of the issues

Conclusion – Suggested courses of action, Possible Solutions
