First Part Assignment
In this assignment you have to write about the experiment and episode called Mythbusters-Cell Phones vs Drunk Driving and provide an evaluation of its methods. They can be viewed through online streaming services (i.e., Netflix, YouTube). If your video discusses more than one study, choose one to focus on for the assignment and the study should address the following questions below.

1.What was the research question?
2.What was the hypothesis?
3.What was the method? 
  a.  Who was the sample? What was the sampling strategy?
  b.    Was the design between- or within-subjects?
  c.    What was the independent variable and how did the researchers operationalize it?
  d.    What was the dependent variable and how did the researchers measure it?
4.What were the results? 
5.What were the strengths and weaknesses of the methodology? 
6.Are you convinced by the conclusions?  
7.Would you allow this study to make it through peer review? Why or why not?

The assignment is about critiquing studies, so your responses to questions 1-4 should be brief and most of your commentary should focus primarily on questions 5-7.If the video does not describe some aspect of the experimental method, explain what is missing and why it is important to know in order to assess the quality of the study (e.g., if they don’t explain their sampling strategy, address why knowing this would be important). Your commentary should reflect critical thought about the material in the video. 

Second Part Assignment.

In this assignment, you have to read the Ekman and Friesen’s (1974) paper on deception detection and answer a series of questions designed to help you think critically about their methods and whether their conclusions are sound.I am going to attach the paper for Ekman and Friesen's(1974) and a word document to answer the questions for the paper.
