For this assignment you are to select any current issue facing us in Florida and research one or two aspects of it in depth. As part of your research, you will take a position on the issue. However, even though I am asking you to make a claim about the issue or problem, I expect the paper to be well-researched and objective in tone. This is not really an argument paper but a research project. Paper Guidelines – Your paper: Should have a minimum of six (6) outside and credible sources, only two of which may be “unsubstantiated” .coms. Be five to six pages in length. Be formatted in Times New Roman, 12 point font. Have one inch margins on top, bottom, left, and right sides. Have page numbers inserted in the upper right hand corner (adding your name is optional) of each page except the first. Should have a title – please avoid using titles such as “Final Paper” and so on. Should have personal information – name, course, instructor, and date should be listed at the top left-hand corner of the first page. Should document and cite all outside sources in MLA (Modern Language Association) Format. This includes a Works Cited page at the end of your essay All essay packets (final draft, rough drafts, and peer review sheets) should be stapled together before submission.
