Dear Editor,
Racial discrimination is rampant in many schools. Racial discrimination is a real problem in American schools where African American students are segregated and their rights violated in many ways. Racial discrimination is present especially in the public schools where the government fails to support the schools thus subjecting them to serious problems making learning impossible. The department of justice and education as admitted that it is a serious problem experienced by peers in most of the American schools. Positive policies on discipline are being put into measure as a way of reducing the cases of racial discrimination as it affects learning of students negatively and eventually leading to failure of the students.
Most of the students suspended and expelled in American schools are the African Americans who are given bad treats in schools thus making their lives problematic. Out of 100% of students in American schools 63% of the students expelled are the African Americans as a result of their race which is unfair and unjust. This becomes a problem to those affected students and hinders their success which is not an ethics in the schools. American laws are very clear that no discrimination or segregation should take place in the country at any given time. Students with disabilities and those of a different color are discriminated but various policies have been put in to measure so as to avoid the discrimination cases.
The environment in schools should be the most pleasing ever thus making learning possible and encouraging success of the students so as to make the nation more successful. The government should take part in making sure the school policies and regulations are followed and the people violating the rules punished as they bring negative consequences to the students subjected to discrimination problems. The minority people who are the poor children receive the least education opportunities and their curriculum is governed by segregation, separation and discrimination which should be stopped especially in public institutions which should act as good and key examples in the fight against racial discrimination and gender discrimination.
The racial discrimination problem according to my views should be solved by the school officials to act as a good example for students to follow. I believe the government should also intervene as a way of punishing those responsible for causing the discrimination. Race should not determine the kind of treatment a student should deserve since it is not anybody’s choice to choose their race. The education system is not just enough and promotes to failure of innocent students. The physical buildings in most schools are not good and thus the government according to my views should intervene as a way to encourage learning an enjoyable process in the schools. Racial discrimination as a serious issue in the American institutions should be stopped especially by the government intervening and punishing those involved in this unfair and unjust process.
Students should be encouraged to stop racial discrimination and instead support one another as a way of gaining success not only to the students themselves but to the whole nation at large. In my views government participation will solve this problem in support of students and teachers support. Everybody should address the issue by looking at the harm caused by the discrimination issue. The issue will shock most parents who do not realize that the issue of great concern.
Sincerely,
Sally smith
