Subject: Workforce Lay Off Recommendation
As per your request, the performance of employees was the key indicators in providing recommendations for the potential layoff for the corporation’s workforce. It is therefore recommended that Julie Varney is submitted as a potential lay off an employee. This is because despite her being a hard worker she is always the last employee to finish her negotiations deals which affect the performance of the general performance of employees.
The above recommendations were concluded based on several interests’ areas which were carefully evaluated. The interest’s areas of evaluation included performance averages, tasks contributions, and numeric assistance of the workforce, comparative ranking and general corporation contribution based on achieving the stated objectives. This was based on the ability of the employees to adopt and sustain current trends in the market, ability to resolve issues, ability to develop accurate and clear reports and the ability to negotiate and maintain loyalty (William & Matthew, 4).
Manager’s evaluation
In the process of determining performance averages of employees, every individual work performance was analyzed by comparing the accomplishment of every individual based on the distinct tasks presented. Julie Varney’s performance was established to hold minimum contribution on averages of performance. This is because although she loves attending to legal issues and analysis of the provide data she accomplishes her task last. This is mainly because she is a shy individual who does not like being involved in phone tasks. This thus reduces the performance because the corporation largely depends on phone dealings in accomplishing distinct tasks (William & Matthew, 3). In receiving the performance analysis of all the employees it is evident that Julie Varney is an able employee for layoff.
Client evaluation
Several measures were utilized in the effort to determine which of the employee held the least value based on ranking. Averages of tasks accomplishment and the value they generated were thus utilized while Julie Varney held the least value in comparison. This is because Blake welling has continuously has been able to develop and develop the corporation customer base with his negotiation skills even though he is not innovative. Mark Gonzales is effective in the development of the product by utilization of advancing technology which is a beneficial factor to the corporation. Sarah marksman is effective in marketing the corporations products because she is familiar with social media tools marketing which helps in creating awareness and increasing that market base. Finally, Chris Summerfield has more experience in the marketing department and he has attained many contracts for the corporation (William & Matthew, 4).
Peer and client evaluation
In reviewing the general contributions of all the employees an evaluation was done based on experience, effort, achievements, development of innovative ideas and the level of task completion effectiveness. The analysis, therefore, confirmed that the recommended employee is suitable for the potential layoff because despite being innovative she slows down production because despite being a hard working and a consistent person her comparative ranking and general work analysis is lower than that of all the employees. In reviewing all the areas and evaluations it is this clear that Julie Varney is the recommended employee for possible layoff.
