This has in turn limited the companies selling the TV handset since they are unable to realize any sale due to this competition. It is also important to note that the IP transmission of various TV programs is completely unreliable. In addition the quality of transmission is also not to the standard. This has in turn affected the television industry negatively, since most of the consumers are not willing to watch the programs from the internet, which have poor picture quality. This problem is mainly due to the facts that are no laws that exist to govern the quality of the television picture that are transmitted via the internet. This therefore implies that the government must come up with new laws to govern the industry. However, it is important to note that the quality of the picture transmitted via the internet is currently improving with technology.
