There are attachments that include all of the information that the essay is based on. Please ONLY use the information found in the attachments.

You'll write an essay that contains the following:

1.  An introduction with a thesis statement.

2.  1-2 paragraphs that explain your topic - what is the issue or problem, facts about it - and why you chose it.  You'll include what you learned from the interviews (found in attachments) as well as from the news stories you've found in your research (found in attachments).

3.  2-3 paragraphs that explain how you think this issue or problem should be solved and why you have chosen this solution.

4.  A conclusion that summarizes how your essay supported your thesis statement.

5.  A reference page in correct APA format.  At least 5 references are required, and they must be current news articles (references found in the attachments).
