Paper Instructions:

Journal Assignments 1, 2, and 4: You will be asked to select 3 of the 8 topics below.
For each topic, you will research the topic and find several sources that support the
issue, oppose the issue, or contain a balance of support and opposition. You will then
discuss the topic making clear concise points about both sides and how they play into
your personal perspective as well as address the ethical issues that arise from each
topic. (Note: There is no right or wrong on these discussions. They are simply away to
demonstrate course learning and its relevance to current events and issues. Write one
to two pages, or as much as is needed to discuss the topic.)
You will be given 2 weeks to research and complete your journal entry for each topic to
include Works Cited page for each entry. Each journal entry must be submitted by the
deadline designated by the instructor in the Weekly Activities or Calendar Due Dates.
Submit though Safe-assign portal provided. Read the “Writing for Biology 1300”
guidelines in the course info folder before writing the assignment.
