Paper Instructions:
You will need a minimum of four research articles----often (RCT’s) /  or systematic reviews/ meta analyses of RCT’s.    
The final paper (the one that is graded) MUST be in the correct assignment link (Evidence Based Paper Final).  Faculty have provided links to a sample EBP paper, along with APA guidelines and an APA formatted template.  It must be APA format and you must use headers (see guidelines).  
Evidence Based Paper Guidelines
The categories of your paper must include the following:
•    Title Page 
•    Introduction (level 1 heading) 
o    Hint: do not use the word introduction to title this section
o    Introduce the topic and what the paper will be addressing
•    Summary of topic / problem (level 1 heading) 
o    This would be the background, PICOT, supporting discussion as to why you choose the intervention/comparison and outcome for the topic/PICOT. 
•    Relevance to Practice (level 1 heading)
o    How are the topic and intervention relevant to practice (nursing/patients/family)?  
o    Why would a nurse/healthcare provider want to use this intervention (if proven successful)?
•    Search Method (level 1) 
o    See below for an example of this paragraph
•    Summary and synthesis of findings (level 1 heading) 
o    This information includes paragraphs (one per article) that combines information from the annotated bibliography and evidence table.  
o    Please support your discussions with in-text citations and avoid directly quoting the article (use your own words). 
•    Implications for practice (level 1 heading)
o    What are the implications for nursing practice—if they were to start using the intervention you are testing?
o    What would this do for patients/families/healthcare?
•    Conclusion (level 1 heading) 
o    Tie the paper together with a proper ending/conclusion
•    Reference List
o    Full list of ALL sources utilized in the above paper (ie: in-text citations)—alphabetical order/APA format.

Search Method paragraph example: 
For my search article component, the following databases were used: CINHAHL, Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews, Academic Search, and Medline.  The search parameters included English-only peer-reviewed published articles between 1995 and 2017.  The search terms used were Simulation, Undergraduate Nursing, Standardized Patients, Mannequins, Concept-Based Learning, Hands-on training.  The search results revealed 275 publications.  The abstracts were reviewed, and 10 articles were relevant to the topic of Simulation use and Undergraduate Nursing clinical.  These studies included two primary qualitative studies, three randomized control trials (RCTs), two systematic reviews, and three primary quantitative studies.  Please refer to the reference list for a complete list of articles.
