Directions: Using the following guidance, you will create a presentation of 6-8 slides (not including the title slide or reference slide):

Research a healthcare agency or hospital. Please choose a different agency than the one you chose for Assignment 2: Healthcare Agency Evaluation in Module 4. In addition to researching the agency’s website, you may need to contact a healthcare professional with the agency for more information. Create a slide presentation 6-8 slides in length (not including the title slide or reference slide) that includes the following:

1.    Provide a description including the name of the agency/hospital and services provided.
2.    Indicate the population they serve i.e. single mothers, children, the general community, etc.
3.    Share the name of the accreditation agency the facility is affiliated with. Include a brief summary of the accreditation agency.
4.    Does the agency/hospital follow a code of ethics? Is there any sign of this practice i.e. partnership with JCAHO, etc.?
5.    How long is their accreditation valid? Are they up to date? If not, what plans are in place to ensure accreditation is updated?
6.    How does the agency’s or hospital’s accreditation certification impact patient care? Give specific examples.
7.    List some consequences that could occur if the agency or hospital was not accredited.
8.    Provide 3-4 examples of how you would research a healthcare agency for a client.
