If you belong to a local gym or sports club or have access to a place where people play sports or exercise, do some observation, paying close attention to the gendered nature of physical activity.  Are there spaces in your location that are more masculine, feminine or gender neutral?  What's the gender makeup of people engaged in different types of activities in these locations? Does the orientation of women and men to these activities appear to be different? What are similarities you observe in the behavior of men and women in these settings?
