POVERTY MENACE
Most communities try to alleviate poverty through various methods both economically and humanitarian ways that will see people get permanently out of poverty. As a result of poverty, very undesirable characteristics are evident amongst the people (Kornblum& Smith, 2011). For instance, poverty has led to an increase in crimes. Due to this, they tend to steal from those who have which have resulted in making cities very uncomfortable and unpleasant to live. In order to make every place secure for people to live crimes have to end and this can be achieved if everybody is entitled to some income (Kornblum& Smith, 2011). It is everybody desire to live comfortably without struggling and hence the need to eliminate poverty. Due to poverty, there are food problems, inefficiency in the institutions, corruption, less investments and political instability. This are some of the reasons why the modern society want to eradicate poverty to facilitate easier living (Kornblum& Smith, 2011).
Passing a law that will see everybody earn equal income will be doing great harm to the economy than good. In order to earn a decent income, the rule of the game says that one must invest in education be hardworking and have a high degree of tolerance to things that are not pleasant (Kornblum& Smith, 2011). If income is leveled for every person it will result to discouragement and people will not put their best into anything. This will affect the economy severely and to avoid this other different measures have been staged. This is done by use of programs that will ensure areas with low income or poverty levels are high attract income generating methods and this will lead to the redistribution of income to them eradicating poverty (Kornblum& Smith, 2011).
