People and environment has a greater influence in his or her life to the extent of impacting his or her developmental growth. The pressure a child encounters in his or her life is directly linked to the culture, religion, and values of his or her family (Sawyer, 2012).

 

  • Summarize how a nurse would handle physical assessments, examinations, education, and communication differently with children versus adults. Consider spirituality and cultural differences in your answer.

When talking to the teenager, the nurse should ensure that the parent/s is available in the room. This is to ensure that the child is more comfortable. Moreover, the nurse should ensure that he or she is aware with the way the child will be communicating or explaining the pain being experienced before administering treatment (Cole et al, 2012).
