Drawing from the media analysis methods described throughout this class ( VERY IMPORTANT), you will be asked to critically assess these representations, and discuss how these populations (and the institutions that cater to them) are framed.

Specifically, this assignment requires:

A section where you provide a brief overview of the film;

A section where you discuss the value of deconstructing the contents of films, and elaborate on how films can inform and influence our understandings of the world;

A section where you advance specific examples from the film to discuss how different social populations and institutional representatives are portrayed, and whether these representations conform with or challenge popular stereotypes;

A section where you draw from class materials to critically reflect on whether you feel the film advances hegemonic representations of youth and youth culture.
