1) From one of the theoretical perspectives, analyze poverty (you can choose either U.S. poverty or global poverty).
a) Your answer must utilize a sociological imagination (see chapter 1) (3 points)
b) Your analysis must also include a discussion of how your theoretical perspective addresses the following four characteristics of society in regards to poverty:
1) inequality (poverty is not equally distributed, explain why the pattern are what they are)
2) social change (explain why patterns of poverty change or how they could change)
3) social order (explain why the patterns are what they are)
4) social/cultural diversity (based on your theory, explain the distribution of poverty by gender, age, ethnicity, etc)
