- Introduction
- Religious life has a certain objective character. The character is given by or should resemble a certain belief. Religious life ought to follow a certain set critiques. These critiques are the one that help in determining whether people follow commandments outlined on their belief or not. The critiques outlined by the belief illustrate how people ought to associate themselves with one another. The critiques also illustrate how people ought to associate with the unknown world. The critiques illustrate various commandments that man ought to accomplish in order to build a strong relationship with the divine being. Failure to follow the critiques contributes in making man sinful. According to religious belief, when man sins, the whole planet is considered unclean. In order to determine whether religious life exists on planet earth, my main obligation is to consider and determine whether people of this planet follow the critiques of the beliefs.
- Criteria to determine whether people on earth are religious
- Religion refers to all the activities that various communities tends to conduct in order to achieve what they refer to as sacred and makes transformation in their lives. The following a number of issues to consider in determining whether people on earth carry on religious life.
- I. Interaction with the supernatural
- The first issue to consider is whether people on earth interact with the supernatural. Religion entails all communities associating themselves with a divine being. This particular define being ought to be greater than human kind. Define-being or power is also greater than the natural world. It is also responsible for all matters related to creation. Moreover, the define-being provides a moral framework on what people do. The define-being is also capable of determining the human destiny. This occurs at the end of mortal life of individual’s from the community (Schilbrack, 2010).

- This would be the second criteria to use in order to determine whether people on earth are religious. The criteria entail diagnosing what the perception of all the communities in earth is towards sin. This means getting various ideas towards how various communities in earth determine what they consider wrong with the human condition. After determining the perception, the other thing I ought to make a follow-up regards to know the prescription for salvation according to the communities on earth (Teske, 2010). This means getting to know how the communities consider various issues that liberate them from sins or performing acts that lead them to commit sin.

- The third criterion to consider in determining whether people from earth are religious is identifying their ritual norms. Ritual refers to the meditation between human and the divine. Ritual tends to explain what various communities’ belief is sacred and special. Religion responds to ritual where communities honor different realms (Schilbrack, 2010).

Relationship between religion and community practices is all about identifying various norms that people regard as moral to undertake (Teske, 2010). Various respective reasons that make people believe that the practices strengthen their relationship with the divine power.

- All communities on earth observe the above criteria. Considering the issue of observing community practices, various communities have carry out certain obligations that tends to associate them with the divine-being or power. Some of the community practices I managed to identify include various medical restrictions and observing on certain special diets. Others include particular clothing and observing various rituals during certain hours of the day (WILLIAMS, FRANCIS & ROBBINS, 2011).
- The other behavior that meets the above criteria with people of the earth relates to interaction with the supernatural. Various communities in the earth believe that there is life after death. They believe that when one dies, the soul goes to a certain environment and after some years to come, the dead will rise again and continue living. However, the communities believe that those who will live after resurrection are the one who lived according to the will of the divine being (WILLIAMS, FRANCIS & ROBBINS, 2011).
- Another behavior that meets the criteria relates to the view regarding sin. All the communities in earth believe that sin is performing against the will of divine being. They believe that sin destroys the relationship between man and divine power. People on earth also believe that the divine being is able to forgive ones’ sin after confession and repenting (Teske, 2010).
- Function of Religion on Earth
- All people on earth observe various religious practices. However, religion differs with how the communities consider their relationship with the divine being. People on earth tend to have faith on various issues that they consider sacred according to religion. Many communities on earth believe that religion prepares them for another future after death (Teske, 2010). The other function of religion according to religious people on earth is that it helps in shaping their practices. Therefore, many of the people who believe in religion said that they perform various norms according to the will of divine being. These practices are always acceptable by the community. Another function of religion is that it helps the people to connect with the divine power. Religion also tends to fulfill various psychological needs (Schilbrack, 2010).
- Understanding religion in Different perspective Apart from the functions
- Through religion, people on earth are able to figure out where they came from. They are able to get various answers related to common life problem. Religion also plays a significant role in shape the political nature of various communities on earth. This means that religion also helps in creating peace in between different communities. Religion is a source of motivation to many people on earth. Through religion, people are able to get hope of a better tomorrow (WILLIAMS, FRANCIS & ROBBINS, 2011).
- Conclusion
- After interacting with many people on earth and studying the nature of life, my conclusion is that religion exists. People of planet earth associates with religion in order to have a sense of belonging in their lives. They believe that religion helps them to associate with the unknown who controls nature. People on earth believe that religion helps them to succeed in everything that they do and hence they values. Even though religious beliefs vary between different communities on earth, it really exists.
