Paper Instructions:
OLD TESTAMENT EXEGETICAL COMMENTARY: JONAH – TITLE PAGE AND BIBLIOGRAPHY INSTRUCTIONS
This module/week, you must submit a title page as well as a bibliography containing a minimum of 10 scholarly resources. Both of these must be in current Turabian format.
The bibliography must represent exegetical commentaries and journal articles that provide a foundation for research. The better your resources, the better your commentary. It is best to list 10 resources so that you make sure that you have the minimum of 8. The professor will provide you feedback as to which sources are acceptable and which are unacceptable. Course textbooks cannot be counted towards the 6 resources. Your resources must be less than 20 years old and must provide exegetical comments based on paragraph or verse units.
These resources must not be primarily devotional in nature. Websites and internet blogs that are not peer-reviewed are unacceptable. The list of resources must contain only 1 general commentary of the entire Old Testament (OT) (ex. Bible Knowledge Commentary OT). It is best to use journal articles and commentaries that focus on detailed exegesis of Jonah. These resources will make it easier for you to write a substantive commentary.
Commentaries such as NICOT, Expositors Bible, MacArthur, New American Commentary, NIV Application, and Word Biblical are good examples.
There are Bible software programs that provide many of these sources as e-books. Journal articles can be accessed through the Jerry Falwell Library via the ATLA databases. The LU library staff is available to help you. There are Liberty University videos to teach you how to access the library.
NOTE: Use the Jerry Falwell Library via the Atla databases to get your sources which is atleast 10 Sources for the assignment please.
