Books and computer-software products

  • Books and computer-software products
  •             While I was on my way to the town, I came across a young man who was sleeping next to where I sited in one of the city buses. After some few minutes, he woke up and opened the bag he was holding. Looking at his age, the young man was on his early 20s. When he opened the bag, he took out his portable computer and logged on to a certain blog that was advertising certain software. This is where our conversation began and I started interviewing him about why he prefers purchasing from the software other than books. According to his information, he stated that all his school colleagues prefer purchasing software because they have more features compared to books. He also added that the software is easy to access and the web sites companies usually take the product to their homes after offering all the required information. According to his information, many of his age mates who are between the ages of 18-25, also prefer shopping at bricks and mortar. The reason for taking interest in brick and mortar as he explained was they help them save some amount for future use (Tyson, 2011). Our conversation ended after he explained to me that they always do a little of the above two services because financial limitations that they face because they are still students.
  •             When I arrived in town, it was about 1pm and the officers of the department I was about to attend were heading for lunch. I decided to relax in a certain park at the centre of the town and this is where I met a man sitting in one of the benches. The man on his late 30s was very talkative and we started the same conversation we had in the bus with the young man. According to him, he started that he prefers purchasing from software to books. His information was fascinating because he stated that for the past five years, he have been purchasing from the software and cannot make any negative issue of the system. He explained that he has an advantage of viewing different items from the software compared to books. On the issue of whether he prefers buying from online shopping and bricks and mortar, his response was a quick yes. He explained that he prefers using the service of bricks and mortar because it is possible for him to purchase a commodity while in any place (Alexy, 2009).
  •             On my way back home, I bound a bus and shared the same sit with a man who seemed to be beyond 46 years of age. According to the look of the man, he seemed to be about nearly on his late 50s; he was of black complexion and wore sunglasses while holding a certain business book. After introducing him to my earlier topic with former interviewees, he stated that men of his age prefer buying from books to software. According to his opinion on this, he stated that buying from books is convenient because it offers him an opportunity to access more information regarding various items (Aronson, 2006). He also stated that he prefers buying from web sites and later wait for the company to deliver the item. His view regarding bricks was that they do not mean much to him because he has less to save compared to the young people.
  •             According to the information given by all the three people from different age groups, it clearly shows that they are aware of the electronic businesses. In all the three cases, all the interviews accept that they gain much experience and knowledge while purchasing from the electronic sources. The difference between the three groups is only how they perceive different importance concerning the electronic sources (Shelly, 2011). The old people prefer books in order to keep them busy while the young prefer software in order they can be able to down load more features that fascinate them.
