Statement of Purpose
Personally I have experienced great moment while teaching children. I have played different roles while teaching children. I interned at the municipal; authority kindergarten as an English teacher assistant where I was teaching children Basic English, creative drawing, nursery English rhymes and playing games. In addition I was full responsible for the children’s conduct each day. I later joined YIZHIYUAN an English training school as and a primary English tutor. I was fully involved in organizing examinations, selecting and writing papers, marking as well as registering the grades. I also organized extracurricular activities for the students and participate in the activities with them. Personal students counseling and home visits were a necessity in students care provision. This year I joined Xing Xing art studio as a Mandarin teacher where I taught students the basics of reading, writing and speaking the Chinese language. This was additionally incorporated with activities in order to motivate students.
The aspects of my teaching experience that I found to be more meaningful is the ability to impact children to learn new things. This was especially in the kindergarten and chine language teaching where I offered basic teaching. Changing the experiences and developing the students’ knowledge is a meaningful thing. This impacted both my individual and my expertise goals. Personally I want to ensure that I make a difference in every student’s life. Professionally from the experience I want to ensure that the learning process is made interesting for every student. In addition I want to teach more subjects in the future to help the students’ knowledge to grow further. In achieving social justice in the learning institution diversity and multiculturalism should be incorporated to increase efficiency as well as skills. I have a great desire to join SCU’s MATTC program which will help in developing my teaching skills and knowledge. This will impact my aim of transforming the learning programs for the students through the utilization of diverse teaching skills. This helps in ensuring that efficiency is achieved in both learning and teaching (Cole, 2008).
