Marketing Plan for Mount Sinai Medical Center Miami Beach, Radiology Department. Website: www.MSMC.com
A marketing plan is like a case analysis, what would you do from your managerial perspective to grow or change a product, market or service. It looks at where we are now (environmental and competitive scanning). Where do we go (goals and strategies from problems and opportunities or swot). How do we get there (four p tactics). Marketing plans (one year) are off shoots of business plans (three year mission/vision driven and more concerned with financial and human or capital resources). We will discuss more at our live chat(s). Plans should be proactive and reactive to market dynamic changes. We can't control the environmental forces (technology, economy, etc), but we tweak our four p's to combat.
Your tactics should be quantifiable and quantifiable ie do what where and when for how much. Your trends should be what is going on in your industry/economy, etc. Competition needs to be thorough ie their products, markets, pricing, etc. Make sure and provide good stats and research for the market demographics. We also like to use charts, graphs, swots in marketing. I am okay with this being a power point vs a paper, so long as content is there and you follow my outline. There are many examples on the web and in your text--they all follow the same outline format of gathering information and then making analytical decisions and ideas. I suggest something in healthcare you know or want to work for--keep it simple your first go at this.
I will post two examples under doc sharing of past student work that were good enough marketing plans to share. What I don't want in return is exactly the same plan turned into your topic. A marketing plan is your creative ideas and YOUR SPECIFIC research, as well as YOUR managerial recommendations. What I am not sharing is the grade they received nor where they could have enhanced the plan--I will tell you they were not perfect grades, but good starts. These are being shared for benchmark purposes because I hear your pain in creating a marketing plan. Hope they help--open for discussion...Here to help get you through the plan!
