The specific area I want to focus my research on college and violent victimization is stalking victimization. It can be termed as a form of sexual victimization among college students. As noted by McNamara and Marsil (2012), a simple case of initial bothersome can quickly escalate to more obsessive and threatening stalking behavior. Consequently, it may lead to interpersonal violence like physical and sexual assault, emotional abuse, rape, or even murder.
