Who is a Writer?

Who is a Writer?

Being a writer basically involves the use of written words with an aim of communicating an idea or a thought using various styles and performances. Different outputs are produced by different writers for instance, scripts, reports, screenplays, poems and novels. Good language is one of the major requirements for any skilled writer as this contributes meaningfully to the cultural satisfaction of the people (Baig & Barbara 232). Writers use other resources such as graphics, illustrations, fiction, genres and non-fictional resources as a way to ensure that ideas are communicated effectively.  Personally, I view the world in a way that is created by words rather than things. The way words bring out meaning is in a textural form and also aesthetically as it in writing a different meaning is given different from the one just spoken. As a writer I believe in writing the truth and I have knowledge on the utility of a lie. Writing is just but exciting as I write from personal and common experience using a familiar language to even my audience (Baig & Barbara 232).  The use of a writer’s voice which is rather a chameleon like character as I intend to use a voice in which is determined by what I am writing about.

It is however important for every writer to be equipped with relevant information and skills in writing. Thus I believe in attending some of the writing lessons I will be able to sharpen my writing skills, as well as gain knowledge on the best writing process to use and how to engage in a collaborative writing rather than a sole writing which have proved to be a hard task. In order to be successful in the lessons I believe that asking questions for clarity, taking down notes, engaging in answering questions are important things that will enhance my success.  Taking note in some of the examples that are given in class helps broaden the mind.
