Proposal letter
I believe that I am a self driven person who possesses various skills which I put to use on a regular basis so as to ensure that my personal goals and goals set by any organization I am associated with are accomplished. I recognize the importance of keeping time which is why I ensure that any task I take on is completed in due time and that it is done to the best level of satisfaction. I am motivated and pride myself on ensuring efficiency in any work or project I engage in, with or without supervision. The traits I possessed have helped me a lot throughout my education and personal life. The experience that I have got over the years have taught me the importance of building good relationships with others and working together for better results.
If I am accepted into the Walden Community, I will bring with me the skills and experiences that I have learnt in school when I pursued my degree. Other than completing my MFIT hours, I also possess therapist skills that could help others who may be facing difficult situations and need help coping. Helping the needy has always been a passion of mine and I often do what I can to help those who are in need as often as I can. It is this desire that led me to open a child care which is responsible for feeding the homeless and assisting children and the elderly who are facing challenges in their lives.
I also value education and I believe that attaining knowledge is a process that never ends. For me to become a more effective and valuable member, I hope to attain knowledge and training that will improve my communication and social skills. Despite my frequent interaction with people, I often find it difficult to communicate or deliver my message successfully. Most times I lack the words to express myself and other times I do not know when or how to initiate a conversation. However, I believe that the experience I gain at Walden Community will expand on my communication skills and help me to be more interactive and a good communicator.
Walden Community welcomes people from different parts of the world regardless of race or ethnicity. Because of these, the community comprises of people from different ethnic backgrounds, interacting on a daily basis as they share ideas and exchange customs. I believe that the community is best suited to enhance my growth and development if I become a member. I will be able to interact with other members, helping our where my knowledge and skills allow. Due to the diversity in culture within the community, I will be in a better position to improve my social and communication skills because I will be learning from different people. I will thus be able to interact with people of different culture and learn the best way to communicate with them with respect to their culture.
I believe in building relationships with other people as the way to establish a community that is willing to work together to bring about positive change. If people learnt to work together, achieving goals would be easier and more efficient. With the knowledge and skills I possess, I try as often as I can to engage others in projects that will be beneficial to a group and not just one individual. If accepted at Walden Community, I will try to incorporate this policy to those I associate with and work together for the common good of everyone in the community.
