This assignment requires you to volunteer for a project or organization of relevance to Africa and submit a report on how the work you did relates to the readings for the class. You can find some organizations online by searching for the topic of your interest. In the past, some students have worked on water purification projects, malaria, HIV/AIDS, education, gender equity, poverty, music, films, science, environment, foreign aid, legal issues, immigration, etc. You can work alone or in teams to raise awareness about the project or organization and or to raise money to be donated to the project. You can also design and launch your own project. Provide a list of the scholarly references that informed your scholar-activism.
