I chose to observe a man whom I perceive to be a good leader, Barry M. Staw. Through this, he was considered to be a leader who offered guidance through innovation thus becoming the preference for many. His general ability to plan, participate, commit and play were the major forces that lead to the success (Lussier & Achua, 2015).

Big five personality characteristics model attempts to establish the exact number of personality traits held by an individual. An introvert is for the reserved group and therefore not a trait of a good leader. When observing Barry it is clear that he is an extrovert because she is an individual characterized by chattiness, sociability, sensational expressiveness and assertiveness. High increased amount of positivity is demonstrated by her committed nature and the willingness of being the attention center in driving changes. In addition, he holds an agreeable personality which can be observed through his pro-social conduct and his ability to convince individuals to agree with his thoughts. Reaction
It is my belief that Barry Staw is one of the best examples of good leadership. In that, through the diversified leading position, he has demonstrated efficiency and the ability to guide, lead as well as direct. It was apparent from his conversation that despite the many challenges that he has faced in trying to create change persistent and commitment have helped him through. He believes that leadership can be taught but it is a consistent thing that develops with exposure, will, and experience. In this context, there is little in her reference to argue against.
Conclusion
Barry Staw is not just a good leader but he offers guidance and directions. He believes that diversity, passion, and participation are essential in leadership. Throughout his leadership, he has demonstrated his passion for creating change for efficiency. He is an extrovert given that he is social and friendly and competes with well-structured thoughts. Being committed creates a chance for one to learn the weakness and the strength of an organization. Having a right attitude is also important to discover the ways to set straight the concerns of the school. In the case the staff is reluctant to go to the classrooms due to lack of proper schedule, then this can be formulated and put in place correctly.
The staff must learn on how to be accountable at all times. Managing the workforce is important but micromanaging will make the situation worse. The assistant principals need to manage the school functions and the teachers as well as show concern for the performance of the school. Assistant principals should seek to get the targets for each teacher and the general staff to make sure that they perform their duties clearly and ensure success is the end results.
The assistant principals have been lazy and reluctant in their work due to the fact that they have other duties outside the school job (Cummings & Worley, 2014). At times they lead a bad example through not engaging with the teachers for quality results. This can be reduced by rewarding each person and the staff who perform better in the class. Staff members who do a good job should not be left empty handed by some tokens should be given to the best performer.
First, an assistant principal should always be in the front line in ensuring quality and time management at all times. Developing a good curriculum is important to assist in the running of the school. The curriculum helps staff and the teachers observe time and keep in mind that the mission is result oriented and most specifically success (Kinicki & Kreitner, 2012). The learning environment at all times should be conducive and friendly enough to ensure no student, teacher of staff complaints in performing their duties. Evaluating the kind of work being done by each person within the school is paramount in making sure that there is no time wastage and the level of achievement rises accordingly. Understanding the practices of each particular individual is important to know how to deal with the person in case there are quality performance issues involved.

I have some skills and traits and I believe they are very important as they help in leading effectively. First, I have self-confidence. In this case, the traits which I may need are sociability and determination. I understand that as a leader in public administration, I have to create strong relationship with people. Thus, I need sociability trait so that I can be able to communicate effectively with people and deal with disputes and disagreement in promoting cooperation. I also need to develop social and cooperative relationships and consider the well-being of the people. Second, I need the determination trait so that as a leader in public administration, I am able to employ dominance and initiatives and ensure that works are effectively done through directing workers in an effective manner (Northouse, 2013). Determination will also help me strive to achieve the goals through addressing obstacles and employing strategies to achieve success. Finally, I need conceptual skills so that as a leader, I can employ ideas and become creative thinker in developing the organization. In the private sector, the managers and people concerned take employee motivation very seriously more than the public sector. The public sector employees are not motivated by monetary rewards, which are extrinsic unlike the private sector employees who are always hungry for the monetary rewards offered to them by the management. Having a workable environment that is supportive is all that a public sector employee wants, which is not the case with the private sector employees (Perry et al., 2010). If the working environment is comfortable, the employees feel no pressure in being in the organization. Members in the private's sector have a great working environment since the management has employed more than enough staff to take care of that unlike the public sector which has fewer employees but the workload can be too much for a single person.
There are internal desires that push a student to perform better and to higher levels. These desires can be attributed to the fact that the student wants to get into a good organization. Currently, the world we are living in is so competitive in a way that everyone wants to be better at what he or she does (Cerasoli et al., 2014). To secure a good position in an organization, then the student has to perform better and shine bright enough to be spotted by a popular organization.

Having read widely about Howard Schultz and observed how he transformed Starbucks to become a major business success, I perceived him to be the best leader to share the fundamental leadership qualities. Howard Schultz was brought up in a poor family and obtained an athletic scholarship which finally led to his buying and heading Starbucks to become among the best performing company globally (SCHULTZ, n.d). He represents a consummate example of hard work, courage and the ability to achieve the coveted American dream. He portrays a person with extraordinary leadership skills including vision, building a successful business and moving on. His leadership represents the ability to inspire other people, while sharing and communicating their desires for exploiting a particular opportunity. Being a transformational leader calls for one to be different in their thinking and getting other people to think in a similar manner.
Schultz entered into the coffee business against the advice of others, and had to overcome insurmountable pressure not to leave his previous job for a small and underperforming company like Starbucks. While looking for job at the company, the founders of the company decided not to give him the position because represent a lot change that the company was not prepared for. The following day, one of the founders called him to tell him that he had a change of mind, because Schultz was right about the required change (Denning,2016). Schultz was able to communicate his vision and convince the founders about the desired change in the company. Transformational leadership requires having influence on others, by building confidence and earning their trust and respect in an organization. When one is charismatic in their leadership, followers will be quite receptive to changes after seeing the need for it and the opportunities present (Northouse, 2015). This leader did not give up even after waiting for whole year to be given the job, which requires a lot of perseverance. Most of us would just give up after being down for any job and not care to follow up even if we have transformative ideas.
Understanding of Howard Schultz change the company to become the largest coffee shop globally, one is struck by his perseverance and how he seems to have made his own opportunities. This includes surrounding himself with the right people, which he did through hiring the right individuals, and influencing them to share with his vision. Even when the company seemed to fall apart, he would communicate a consistent message and inspiring the employees to take accountability of their actions. Inspiring communication has a way of making people to turn from being risk averse to risk takers and embrace change (Northouse, 2015).
