Marketing Project

The product section of the marketing plan

The product is known as the sponge bed and it is not just a brand name but it is a product of its own design. The product should take form of UV lamps and a size of a torch such that by just lighting flashing on the sponge, all the germs are supposed to be distorted. The product should also take a form of a fluid such that it is sprayed over the sponge to destroy all the germs found.  The product should be of different wave length, intensity and beam spread. The product is to be packed in a box and inside it a guideline on how to use it will be attached to ensure efficiency of the product. The product is expected to serve two purposes; it is supposed to act as a cleaning agent for the sanitary of the dishes as well as to maintain the sponge in a good condition for a longer period due to its reusable nature. For the start, the product will serve as a dish sanitizer however in the long run with expansion in the production; many services will be yielded for the product. Additionally, the product is aimed to be cost effective to attract a wider market that can help it manage competition (Armstrong & Kotler, 2015).

The product by its nature is expected to manage the competition which is caused by other companies with products that serve the same purpose for example soap companies. The most challenging competitive feature is the reusability of the product (Armstrong & Kotler, 2015). The product is targeting homeowners at the age of 30 years who can effectively use the guideline in transforming the food particles filled in the sponge into a brand new sponge.

ORGANIZATIONAL BEHAVIOR

The job feature model is a normative approach to job development.  The theory outlines the five core jobs dimensions that lead to the dangerous mental states in the personal employee. These magnitudes include skill diversity, mission individuality, task implications, authority and feedback.  This model is used in the evaluation of potential of specific jobs thus suggest which of these jobs could be designed.  In order to achieve this, an encouraging possibility is reviewed from a questionnaire of the job features model.  I graded these job features as I outlined these characteristics to a greater extent. The combination of these features makes up a perfect job and it is the main aim of the job design to alter the levels of every feature to adjust the general job with which the worker does it. This grading is important as the worker brings emotional states to tolerate upon the job outcomes when graded together with the core features (Robbins, 2009).

My past experiences on preparing myself to become the best financial consultant have been through retail and higher education.  The job characteristic theory is a model that has helped me in becoming one of the prominent financial advisors so that I can gain the knowledge through working on financial analysis research. Flexibility and my own skills is the strength that I have achieved through my experience.  I have also noticed that various projects need personal attention which is based on inference of task and others involve team work approach.  The reason as to why my significances has been shaped by my past is that the main aim of the job characteristic model is to design the job in such a way that the core features can be put together to make an encouraging possible groove for a task that can be used as an index of the way job can affect the employee’s attitudes and manners (Robbins, 2009).

Johnson & Johnson’s strategic planning involves remaining impeccable and meeting the expectation of all human care consumers to the sellers and from diagnostics market, medical and pharmaceutical devices. To remain competitive commitment it has to reach out to those in need and remaining faithful to their loyal consumers (Evans et al, 2012). In order to attain a competitive advantage to its challengers Johnsons and Johnson’s have used different approaches such as segmenting their products to meet the various consumer needs in different segments. This is achieved through decentralized management tactic that creates a unique way of culture and values and nurtures the growth of its people. Its credo is continuously on the time of noteworthy change towards health care (Evans et al, 2012).

One of its approaches is based on human health care which has resulted in market segmentation. To doctors, nurses and patients the role of prevention, diagnosis and treatment have been established by company (Evans et al, 2012). This assists in scaling up the steadiness of performance has led to the growth of opportunities and quality health care through the quality of products. The approach to manage for the long term equates to the production of high-quality products of brands that will create customer loyalty. The approach of our people our value lies behind fathers, mothers and all others who use their products and services. Its culture is committed to in engaging and caring for the consumers which are inspired by the company’s credo in meeting their needs through high-quality products (Evans et al, 2012).

Johnson and Johnson true purpose can be viewed from a different perspective depending on who is viewing it. From its consumers, it aims in giving better and high-quality products. From the competitors, it will be viewed as if their products are merely cosmetic devices.

CUSTOMER SERVICE

Customer service is an unappreciated mission.  Angry customers shout at the service representatives which make them get blamed for the bad customer service.  Service agents should be treated with respect as people do not understand that these services need a special kind of person who can withstand the exhausting work that is done by the customer service.  There is this one great feature that a good customer service should outline, Patience; management of a customer’s service while responding to others through the emails is sufficient for someone to throw down their headsets.  Patience is an asset that every service agent should imply. Through the innovative technology support to the clients from the customer service, the customers who do not know how to work with the computer complain every time (Cook, 2008).

Thus it is essential to handle the customers with special care despite the agent’s role.  The service agent should practice patience through ways like to respectfully put the customer on hold while you recover your calm or hand the call to the supervisor if the customer is much rude.  A good customer service should also be convenience, this means that the service agent should learn how to faster resolve a problem and this will make the customer happy and lessen their call cost.  The agent should also not rush to the customer’s problem as there are some efficiency levels that should be followed in order to get the best solution.  A good customer service should also practice confidence this means that the executives in the service should be able to make their agents make the customers happy making them have confidence which will hinder them from time wasting thus getting endorsements. This can be done by setting rules for the sale workers and customer service agents.  This will basically provide the solutions that will make the customers happy (Cook, 2008).

Individual Reflection: Reflecting on Leadership Styles Part I

The paper will analyze the leadership style of two leaders that have influenced my life. The two leaders are Jeffery Bezos Amazon CEO and Tim Cook Apple Corporation where I formerly worked. The author will have to categorize their manners, actions and their representation of their leadership styles and their influence on other people.  The author will also analyze the efficiency or the ineptitude of these leaders whom I chose.  The paper will also include the reasons as to why these leaders should be adhered to and the risks that people will encounter through following these leaders.  Leadership and followership are the backgrounds of developing and administrating a successful organization.  These leadership styles relate to each other while the structure of the organization will not turn to be successful if the leaders will not be effective in helping others to develop their capabilities (Goleman, 2000).

According to Goleman, reliable leaders authorize the other leaders and others who are have no authority within the organization but give authorization and give discernment to step up and lead.  The valuation of these two leaders was based on their leadership talents but not what they represented. The intention of the assessment was not to approve or judge them but to evaluate their leadership styles, features and the factors that arose during their rise to the position. In this kind of reflective paper, the leaders are valued personally with the review of their positive and negative leadership traits. These traits are later compared to show up their similarities and differences.  The paper focused on the assumption that these leaders were made when people work together in making specific qualities and manners and consider their followers (Goleman, 2000).

Bezos who is the Amazon CEO is a task adapted to and transformational leader. Based on his leadership, Bezos made a success account based on income, transactions and stock price analysis.  Through the company’s development it is evident that those are the outcomes of Bezos ability to visualize, stimulate and modernize even when others did not believe on his visualization.  Bezos has to improve his leadership styles to have the best results (Goleman, 2000).

Cook on the other hand explains that leadership needs that one must go on with the improvement as one continues with their career. Cook had his leadership styles where he always took risks throughout his leadership. This explains why leaders should execute firm decisions that may affect the lives of those surrounding them thus trusting their skills and take risks.  Cook understands that he should take risks for him to succeed as a leader. Both Cook and Bezos are definitely strong leaders. Bezos leads Amazon through a new terrain after two years of leadership while Cook carries the job heritage and makes delicate changes to keep things renewed (Goleman, 2000).

You have been given the assignment to evaluate an organization for a potential acquisition. The business is service based and labor intensive. Sales and market share have been dwindling in the last few years; prior to that time growth averaged in the 6% to 8% range. The CEO of this firm has only been with the business for a few years and has a tenured background in manufactured products. You have been told the associates in the business are demotivated under the current administration. Using what you have learned from Chapters 5 and 6 what would you examine to determine the drivers behind the current performance? How could you quantify? What would you recommend to your management team? Note this organization is based in the United States. Would any of these factors change if the firm was located in Brazil? Use the Hofstede tool provided in the readings and assignments section to assist in your analysis.

Would any of these factors change if the firm was located in Brazil?

Analyze and formulate a thoughtful response.

How I Manage My Learning for Third Level in Individual and Group Settings

Paper Instructions:

Moreover, you may not consult or use external sources of any kind to develop your answer. You don't need them. What matters the most is your voice, your ideas, and to articulate them as clearly and coherently as possible.

For the Final Exam, you must develop a 1,000-word response to the following question:

“What model of democracy do you think would work best for the United States today (and into the future)?”

That is, you need to develop an essay that makes an argument for the model of democracy (out of the various models you read about during this semester) that you think would best serve our individual and collective needs. To this end, your job is to describe the central features of the model of your choice (which assumes you will identify the proponents of the model we read this semester), then compare and contrast it with other models, and finally to make an argument for the model of your choice. As you did for the midterm exam, you might want to organize the response in three to four sections that flow clearly and coherently.

Finally, to help you answer this question, keep the following general guidelines in mind (these are a series of general guidelines to clarify how to write a more successful response). When I read any response, I look for a clear and coherent summary and analysis of the assigned reading. To this end, I use the following criteria to assess your answers:

Summary – of required readings, including key ideas, concepts, and questions to be used as a foundation for the analysis. In your summary, you can demonstrate that you read carefully and thoroughly.

Analysis – comparison and contrast of ideas, concepts, and questions between the readings. In your analysis, you demonstrate your ability to fully address or answer the questions I posed in the prompt. This is where you can demonstrate your understanding of the material and that you are thinking for yourself. Therefore, no external sources can be accepted for the analysis because it must be based on your close reading of the required texts.

Coherence – this means organized, step-by-step, progression of ideas. In other words, ideas should flow in orderly fashion from sentence to sentence and paragraph to paragraph. Coherence is very important because it helps you to demonstrate that you read carefully and fully, that you can develop a thesis or argument, and that you can impose order on your thoughts – thus making your claims and arguments easy to follow for the reader. Otherwise, good ideas or claims go to waste because they become disconnected or fragmented and the reader gets lost.

Clarity – this refers to grammar, mechanics, and style, and command of writing conventions such as in-text citations, quoting, balance between paraphrasing and quoting, and so on. Poor sentences make it difficult to get your point across.

Submission –adhering to basic requirements, particularly on-time submission, word count, and academic honesty.

What model of democracy do you think would work best for the United States today (and into the future)?
