Assignment: Time Management Plan Time management does not only consist of creating time management plans and developing a systematic way of prioritizing and completing tasks. It also has to do with the spontaneous behaviors of the individual managing his or her time. As with most plans, time management plans are of no use without the individual’s will, volition, and consistency of application. Applying the required behaviors consistently may mean a change in mindset, and that is often challenging and can initially require an honest assessment of personal reactions to various influences (i.e., psychological challenges and external distractions or influences). However, effective time management is necessary for your success. Remember that failing to plan is “planning to fail.”
Throughout this course you have gained insight into those things that can stimulate you and those that can impede your success. You conducted a SWOT analysis to raise self-awareness of your strengths, weakness, opportunities, and threats. You also created a PLN plan and a PDP. These documents will help you as you prepare for the creation of your Time Management Plan.
This is your final Assignment in this course. You will create a Time Management Plan that you will use regularly for examining and updating your progress and goals.
To prepare for this Assignment, review this week’s Learning Resources, particularly the videos on time management in the order they are presented. Gather your Self-Assessment, Personal SWOT Analysis, PLN plan, and PDP documents as reference sources. Construct your Time Management Plan using the Time Management Plan Template provided in this week’s Learning Resources. Be sure to support your plan with credible, peer-reviewed literature.
By Day 7 Submit a completed Time Management Plan, which should include the following sections:
Laying the Foundation (Goals) Restate the big-picture goals you wrote in Week 1 and revised (if applicable) for this week’s Discussion. Self-Analysis Summarize the SWOT Analysis that you performed in Week 1, adjusting any of the four areas of assessment based on your growth and learning in this course. Personal Style and Preferences Time Management System Design Analyze your results on the four exercises you completed this week: “What’s Working,” “What’s Not Working,” “Your Time Management Preferences,” and “Your Energy Cycles and Sources.” Strategy and Design Based on your big-picture goals, identify and describe specific activities, as well as daily tasks that make up those activities. Create a Time Map (either in graphical form or as an appropriately formatted table with clear headings and labels) in which you display specific information about your goals, activities, and tasks and their relationship to other aspects of your life. Describe how your map meets the criteria from the Time Map Checklist and identify the tools you will use to keep you on track. Include your time map as a figure in your paper or as an appendix; be sure to utilize appropriate APA formatting. Making It Happen Develop your strategy for putting your plan into practice. In your strategy, address the following: How will you use the tools you have identified to keep you balanced, hold yourself accountable to your plan, and monitor your productivity? How often will you review your progress?> What alternative strategies will you put in place to manage risks, environmental factors, and/or psychological obstacles? Be sure to use the Time Management Plan Template, found in this week’s Learning Resources, to complete this Assignment. Also, refer to the Week 8 Assignment Rubric for specific grading elements and criteria. Your Instructor will use this rubric to assess your work. Please Note: For each page of your paper, you must include a minimum of two APA-formatted scholarly citations.

Are most accidents and injuries covered by tort law?
The objectives for Chapter 6 include a basic overview of tort law In Chapter 6, you need to know the two broad categories of torts, they are, Intentional Torts and Negligence. You should know the elements of each intentional tort as well as all of the elements of negligence. The most important cases to note in Chapter 6 are: Squish La Fish v. Thomco https://caselaw.findlaw.com/us-11th-circuit/1115956.html Palsgraf v. Long Island Railroad https://www.casebriefsummary.com/palsgraf-v-long-island-r-co/ and Fuerschbach. This chapter is designed to support general objectives 1, 2, 3 and 4 in your syllabus
Read Chapters Six and pay particular attention to the "test yourself" segments.
Do the Assignments listed below for chapter 6.
Chapter 6 - On page 141, write a brief paper on the discussion question. Must be at least 800 words on the topic of "Are most accidents and injuries covered by tort law?" and "Why or why not?" This assignment is directly related to the objective regarding the category of negligence Torts and you should discuss the elements of negligence torts. It would be a good idea to discuss at least some defenses to negligence torts, as well.
Also, do case question #2 on page 141, Newsom v. Thalhimer Brothers, 901 S.Wd.2d 365, Ct. App., Tenn. (1994). Here is a link to the case. You may have to copy and paste some of the links I give you: https://law.justia.com/cases/tennessee/court-of-appeals/1994/901-s-w-2d-365-2.html Answer the question thoroughly about whether or not the Plaintiff had a case for false imprisonment and tell me why or why not. Remember, these cases thoroughly discuss the subject matter and there is a correct answer. You can certainly express your opinion about whether or not the answer that the court came up with was justified, but when you discuss what the court held, then tell me that and tell me why they held as they did. This case is a good discussion of intentional torts and their impact on business.

Discussion: Disruptive Technology: Netflix Case Study Technology is constantly changing and, in turn, can help leaders promote widespread social and economic change. For example, Mattox (2013) pointed out that if 3D-printing technology were to become available and accepted by the masses, it could dramatically shift control of consumer production, resulting in a significant economic and social change. Consumers could then theoretically manufacture everything from lifesaving medicines to high-grade weaponry. Is such technological change desirable or detrimental?
Given the potential of technological change to generate economic upheaval, it should be no surprise that the question of whether technological change is desirable has garnered attention in the business research community. Theories have emerged to explain the development and diffusion of technological changes—and the theory of disruptive innovation is among the most influential. Since its introduction by Clayton Christensen in the mid-1990s, the theory has raised considerable debate. Topics of debate include how to define disruptive innovation and technology; when and why it occurs; and how to predict, survive, or promote it. As the pace of technological change accelerates, business professionals have given increased attention to this field of research and the impact of disruptive technology. In this Discussion, you will consider the case of Netflix.
To prepare for this Discussion, review this week’s Learning Resources concerning disruptive technology and disruptive innovation. Read the case study “The Rise and Fall of Netflix: What Happened and Where Will It Go From Here?” and consider Netflix’s role as a disruptive innovation or technology that is now being threatened by the disruptive technology of its competitors. Netflix’s leaders are facing many challenges as they consider the global market. Put yourself in the intern Chris’s position, and think about how you, as a global change agent, would advise the company’s leaders.
By Day 3 Post an analysis of the impact of disruptive technology on Netflix, with your own prognosis for this business. Your analysis should be structured as follows:
Summarize the challenges Netflix is facing, as detailed in the case study. Evaluate whether disruptive technology has a primarily positive or negative impact on Netflix’s challenges. Provide a rationale. In line with your argument, identify whom disruptive technology benefits and whom it adversely affects. Develop two strategies for either surviving or taking advantage of disruptive technology. Support your post with data and information from the Learning Resources and at least one peer-reviewed article or journal of your choice. Be sure to support your work with a minimum of two specific citations from this week’s Learning Resources and one or more additional scholarly sources.
Refer to the Week 7 Discussion Rubric for specific grading elements and criteria. Your Instructor will use this rubric to assess your work.
Read a selection of your colleagues’ postings.
By Day 5 Respond to at least two of your colleagues’ postings by doing one of the following:
Refute the position of a colleague who took a position on disruptive technology similar to your own. Thus, you are taking the opposite position from your original post. Refute or support your colleague’s analysis of the most important considerations for surviving or taking advantage of disruptive technology. Please note that, for each response, you must include a minimum of one appropriately cited scholarly reference.
Return to this Discussion in a few days to read the responses to your initial posting. Note what insights you gained as a result of reading the comments your colleagues made.

Assignment: Practical Business Problem Solving Topic Business research can help managers plan strategies by – identifying the existence of problems or opportunities present in the organization. —William G. Zikmund, Barry J. Babin, John C. Carr, and Mitch Griffith, Business Research Methods
Despite having general areas of academic interest, many doctoral independent scholars find choosing a specific topic for their research study a challenge. In addition to making an academic contribution, your work will address a real-world business problem and have the potential to impact the daily practices of the business community. Writing and researching a Doctoral Study is an opportunity for you to explore a topic of interest, identify a problem, and express your viewpoint and perspective as your ideas evolve by way of you learning more about the topic and about your own questions and hypotheses.
Your past professional experience can be a valuable source for identifying a research topic during the initial stages of your search. You should also review the literature on topics of interest. Finding a practical business problem, for which your in-depth academic research efforts may help you uncover possible solutions, is a critical first step in a successful doctoral process.
To prepare for this Assignment, review the media piece “Choosing Your Doctoral Topic.” Consider a topic you might be interested in studying and a potential question for future research. Note: This is not the time to talk about the specifics of your Doctoral Study but rather to describe generally your topic of interest and why you have chosen it. This will acquaint the reader (or listener) with your study topic. Also keep in mind that many early doctoral independent scholars tend to focus on solutions. Instead, focus on clearly articulating a known business-related problem and not a social problem.
By Day 7 Submit a 2- to 3-page paper (excluding cover and References pages) in which you formulate one or more business problems on your chosen topic. In your paper, do the following:
Provide an overview of the topic you are interested in studying, including the context and your rationale for selecting your topic. Delineate a brief history of this area of study and the relevancy of this topic in today’s business world. Identify any similarities between your interests and those discussed in the media piece “Choosing Your Doctoral Topic.” Devise one or more business-related problems related to your chosen topic. Speculate what type of data you might need to research one of these business-related problems and how you might go about collecting that data. Be sure to use the APA Course Paper Template (6th Ed.) to complete this Assignment. Also, refer to the Week 7 Assignment Rubric for specific grading elements and criteria. Your Instructor will use this rubric to assess your work. Please Note: For each page of your paper, you must include a minimum of two APA-formatted scholarly citations.
